Reds Fans: Know This
It's All Good...
- So we lost a home series. Oh well. It was to a solid Phillies team that finally has its key players back on the field. We should still feel like we are on top of the world right now. Why?
- The Reds are 83-55. We have the MOST WINS in the MLB. Only one team in baseball has a better overall record (WSH at 82-54). We are 8.5 games up on the nearest team in the Central, and 10 games up on third place.
- Johnny Cueto has had a Cy Young season and continues to prove his case.
- Mat Latos' second-half has been Cy Young-worthy. He's 24 years old.
- Aroldis Chapman is the most dominant force in baseball. He shuts-down the opposition, always. His moniker is "Missile." And he just might be having the best season for a relief pitcher the game has ever seen.
- Brandon Phillips is not just a stellar defender and above-average hitter anymore. He's a leader and a tremendous hitter.
- Todd Frazier is going to be the NL Rookie of the Year!
- Ryan Ludwick is going to be the Comeback Player of the Year!
- Jay Bruce is on one of his tremendous hot streaks. And he is among baseball's greatest offensive threats when he is on. And boy is Jables on!
- The best hitter in the game has returned from injury. His name is Joey Votto. He plays for your Redlegs.
- Smile. We're pretty darned awesome.
