Box Score

  • Recap
    • Homer Bailey: 7.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 4 SO.  Beautiful game for Homer.  Jeff Brantley mentioned on the radio broadcast that he has been the most unfortunate of the Reds starters as he had several wins slip away from him due to bullpen issues.  Which of course has been a rarity with the likes of our guys.  Nevertheless, Brantley was correct.  Homer is a tremendous talent and pitches like an ace when he is not on the mound at GABP.  I would like to see him on the playoff roster for a road start for sure.
    • Marshall and Broxton were splendid.  Yet another job well done by the Reds elite bullpen.  Shut 'em down boys.
    • With the bases loaded, Ryan Hanigan came thru in the clutch like he always seems to do and knocked in the whole darn bunch with a bases clearing double (14) (RBI - 23).  And that was that.  Hanigan procured the win for Bailey before he had to leave the game, and he provided the offense for the team to win.  Love that guy.
    • Votto also had a double (39)
