Box Score

  • Recap:
    • Mat Latos: Splenid.  7.0 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 SO.  The big kid worked himself out of a couple of sticky situations and earned himself a well deserved win after seven solid innings or work against the Phils.  He has been nothing short of magical in the second half of this 2012 season.  Kudos, Mat.
    • Jay Bruce: Jables just keeps on keepin' on doesn't he?  He reached three times tonight by singling, walking, and pounding out his 31st homer on the season, which came with a runner on base to score the only two runs for the good guys.
    • Ryan Hanigan had a pair of singles on the night.
    • Xavier Paul had a pinch-hit double.  He's batting .333 in his short time with the Reds.  Very respectable.  A solid, low-risk pick-up the X-Man has been.
    • Ryan Ludwick walked and singled.  Stubbs had a base knock.
